Red Riding Hood for Mary

My friend Mary also works with German Shepard Rescue dogs. She currently has two beautiful dogs of her own and recently just found a forever home for a sweet little puppy that she had been fostering as he was very ill. Mary has a daughter and so when I asked her what storybook character she would like me to create a card around she asked if I had any Red Riding Hood and the Wolf. I did have one of Mo Manning's great digital images of this character and here is the card I created. Mary has a framed photo of her daughter taken with Mary's first German Shepard who is now passed and she has the card sitting next to it in her office.

I am also submitting this to Mo Manning's current challenge of "Bright Colors" which you can enter your card on her challenge blog at Check out the great creations by her wonderfully talented Dream Team!

The Good Witch at Christmas - The Last of the Oz Characters on Holiday

Those of you who follow my blog know that I have been creating a card series for my friend Mary of all of Mo Manning's "Oz" characters - each in a different holiday setting and posting them as they are finished. Today's card is the last of the series - "Glinda the Good" in a Christmas setting.

Tomorrow I will re- post all of the cards in the series - but for today it is the good witch's time to shine. She is all sparkly and dressed in the holiday colors of red and green - set against a wintery sky. It has been great fun to create a different holiday setting for each of the characters.

Thank you for stopping by to visit my blog today! Wishing you a happy Monday!

First Children's Challenge

It doesn't seem possible that another week has flown by! I have not been very productive with my paper creations! This card is for Mo Manning's new and first ever "Children's Challenge" and you can read all about it at This cute little guy is one of Mo's digital images called 'Baron and Butch' and he is so involved in his Dr. Suess story that his poor dog is being ignored - totally!

Thank you for stopping to visit my blog today! Wishing you a great weekend!
